**Vaccine cost only, visit fee and administration fees still apply. The offer is only open to horses that are over 9 months of age and have not yet been vaccinated against equine influenza or are overdue an annual booster.  Vaccination to take place in the offer month (March).

A date for your diaries – We are holding a client evening on the 2nd of April, the subject is the coughing horse and it is a free event with refreshments. Start time is 7pm, Wickham St Paul Village Hall, CO9 2PT. Places are limited so to reserve your seat please call the practice on 01787 269006.

We would like to thank all those that voted for our practice and individual people within it, for the Petplan Veterinary Awards 2019. Many thanks from Ami, Ayla, Alison, Ben, Robert, Hailey, Carly and team Catley.

There have been outbreaks of Equine Influenza “flu” confirmed in Essex and Suffolk.

Please check your horses are all up to date with their vaccinations. The current recommendation in the face on an outbreak is that horses that are at risk should receive 6 monthly boosters. Catley Cross is offering to pay half the price of this booster for the month of February. Please call the office to discuss your individual yard requirements or take advantage of this offer.

We would like to introduce to you all the newest members of our Catley team. Pictured are new equine vets Helene (left) and Grace (right) who both joined us in January. The girls have settled in very well and are looking forward to meeting our clients and their lovely horses. To find out more about our newbies or any other members of staff head on over to our website www.catleycrossvets.co.uk.

** It’s time to sign up your horses for the annual worm egg count scheme. Most of you will have used the wormer Equest this winter, making your first worm egg count due 13 weeks after you used this product. The scheme costs £30 for each horse and includes 3 worm egg counts. Results are reported by email and it is found that only 20% of horses need worming routinely! To sign up email worming@catleycrossvets.co.uk or phone the clinic and ask to be added on to the 2019 scheme.

Congratulations to our vet Carolyn and husband Simon on the birth of Elizabeth Juliette. Elizabeth was born on the 24th January weighing 9lb 9oz and is very much adored by her big sister Annabelle.
